I wanted to build a lip palette with some nudes, neutrals and some pretty pinks. I picked up the 5 pan Inglot Palette and filled it with 5 shades of my choice. I had not tried these shades earlier. Before I go into details of what each shade is like, I must mention that all the 5 lipsticks are super creamy, easy to work with and feel comfortable on the lips. Compared to other creamy lipsticks, they are less troublesome when it comes to accentuating fine lines on the lips. They are moderately moisturizing and set to acquire a semi-matte finish. The lipsticks I tried lasted on the lips without fading for nearly 4 hours. My sense is that darker shades may last even longer.
Here are the shades I went in for :
Inglot Freedom System Refill Lipstick #40 – This is a nude shade…flesh-toned with very slight hint of pink in it. Beautiful. It will look best on fair skin. Medium skin tones can pull it off – provided the shade is applied with a light hand. Opaque coverage will not look good on medium skin tones.
Inglot Freedom System Refill Lipstick #44 – Very pale flesh-toned peachy lipstick. Again, a very nice shade for fair skin but may not work for medium skin tones.
Inglot Freedom System Refill Lipstick # 31 – Beautiful neutral pink shade for everyday kind of wear. This shade will look good on fair as well as medium skin tones.
Inglot Freedom System Refill Lipstick # 24 – This is a pale nude shade.. has a little bit of beige in it. This will look good on fair skin only.
Inglot Freedom System Refill Lipstick # 14 – This is very beautiful medium bright wearable pink, I am not being able to describe the kind of pink it is but I can tell you what it is not – it is not candy pink, not strawberry pink, not plummy, not raspberry….it is just a very beautiful pink lipstick. This is my favorite shade from this palette. It is the kind of color that is likely suit all skin tones.
I have medium skin tone so I use the nude shades (#40, #44 and #24) in combination with my other lipsticks to create shades that will look good on my skin tone. I have also created a neutral eyeshadow palette using the Inglot Freedom System – click here to read more about it.
Here are details of where to find these products in India, UK and USA : – I ordered these refill pans and the empty palette online via the Majorbrands Website. Each refill pan costs Rs 300 for 1.2 g of product. All these shades are still there. The round pan palette is not available online but the stores still have the round palettes. I am not sure if Inglot is moving away from the round palettes because I see refills for nearly all products are available in square pans now. The empty square palettes are available online for Rs 850 and square refills are available online for Rs 400 (for 1.8 g of product) but there aren’t many shades you can choose from – the store may have the entire range. The UK and USA websites have a larger range of shades in the square pans.
The Inglot UK Website has the round palettes but not the 5 pan palette – the 20 pan palette is currently available at a 50% discount. The 5 pan square palette is there for £ 7.00. All the shades mentioned in this post are available in the square refills for £ 4.50 each (1.8 g of product). If you already have an empty round palette then grab the round refills – they are currently available at a 50% discount – 1.2g of product for £ 1.75.
The Inglot USA Website does not have round palettes at all. The 5 pan square palette is there for $11.00. Each square refill pan costs $7.00 for 1.8g of product. All the shades mentioned in this post are available online.
Yays!
- Excellent formula – creamy, applies easily, sets to acquire a semi-matte finish.
- Feels very comfortable on the lips.
- The palettes are very sturdy and travel friendly.
- Good price point – two square refills with a total of 3.6g of product will cost lesser than 3g of a MAC lipstick. More product, at a lesser cost with equally good quality.
Nays!
- No complains with the product – excellent quality. I just wish the Inglot websites were slightly better in terms of responsiveness – they are very sluggish most of the time.
