Night time skin care routines are tough to follow unless there is a strong incentive. These days, I look forward to my skin care routine before bedtime no matter how sleepy or tired I am. The motivation lies in two incredibly amazing products that are now a part of my night time skin care routine – The Panchpushp Facial Toner and the Advanced Soundarya Age Defying Serum.
The Panchpushp Facial Toner is a hydrosol (floral water) made by steam distilling Rose, Marigold, Bela, Kewda and Saffron. Actually in addition to using it at night, I use it in the morning too. In fact anytime during the day when I need to refresh my skin and lift my mood. This toner smells lovely..its exotic! This product provides light rehydration and preps the skin for moisturization or a nourishing beauty routine. This is one of the best facial mists I have used so far. The dispenser is perfect and generates very fine mist. I usually follow it up with my favorite moisturiser from Clinique – Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief and the Advanced Soundarya Age Defying Serum. The Advanced Soundarya Serum is a 100% natural age defying serum that boosts collagen production. It is made using pure oils, herbs, clarified butter and pure 24 carat gold bhasma. When I first used it, it felt like oil and reminded me of the Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate. Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate is lighter in terms of the texture and absorbs relatively quicker but I prefer the Advanced Soundarya Serum because my skin responds better when I use it. It feels more supple and nourished after I use this serum. Though this serum feels a little heavy on the skin initially, it seeps into the skin after 25-30 mins leaving the skin feeling dewy and smooth. However, If you don’t like heavy oils on your skin, you may not like this serum. I also love the earthy and herbal fragrance of this serum but that’s again something that takes a little getting used too. This traditional Ayurvedic formulation has some amazing anti-aging ingredients each of which are 100% natural.
