The Color Hit range of nail polishes from Sephora contain a unique combination of resins and waxes that delivers long lasting shine. It also contains light reflective pigments. Earlier this year, I had tried a shade called Pink Paradise from this range, and I loved it.
Voodoo Doll is a deep purple shade sans shimmer. The first coat was nearly sheer unlike Pink Paradise. I was disappointed. Fortunately the second coat gave me opaque coverage and I got the exact color as what shows up in the bottle. The consistency of the polish is thin and there was no streaking during the application. Once applied the polish dried pretty quickly. The shine is amazing. The brush takes some getting used to. It is a flat wide brush with rounded corners, designed to provide single stroke coverage. I wasn’t too pleased with it when I used it for the first time but I’ve grown used to it now.
In India these nail polishes are available via Sephora outlets in Delhi for Rs550. As of now Sephora Outlets are in Delhi (at Select Citywalk and DPF Promenade) only 🙁 . I am not sure if Sephora is operational in Mumbai yet. I’ve heard Pune may get their first outlet of Sephora soon!
Voodoo Doll ships to New Delhi via Amazon – price $14.50 + shipping. US customers can also get this product via Amazon. Surprisingly, I did not see this product on the Sephora website – I got a message saying “We do not currently carry the product you requested. Try another search or find more ways to shop below”. It was available few months back though. I didn’t see this product on Amazon UK 🙁
