Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief
Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief

I am one of the many women who are constantly looking for the perfect moisturizer 🙂 .While I am still unsure about whether I’ve really found my the perfect moisturizer or not, I certainly have found something worth repurchasing. I am on my third jar of Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief! This means a lot because I usually don’t repurchase moisturizers since I am constantly trying out new ones.

Earlier this year, I had tried Clinique Moisture Surge Intense Skin Fortifying Hydrator and I really liked the texture and the hydrating formula. However, instead of repurchasing it, I decided to try Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief (which looks very very similar to Clinique Moisture Surge Intense Skin Fortifying Hydrator because of the packaging as well as the color and texture of the product). I liked Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief even better than Clinique Moisture Surge Intense Skin Fortifying Hydrator!

Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief also has a gel creme texture. One needs just a pea sized amount for the entire face and neck. The product sinks into the skin almost immediately without leaving the skin oily or greasy. On days when my skin feels dry, applying this moisturizer gives me instant relief. It also temporarily plumps the skin.

Makeup sits well on skin prepped with Moisture surge. I have tried using it under makeup with and without a primer. It works well both ways. Like I mentioned earlier, I have repurchased this product thrice and used it in in winter as well as summer and it worked very well in both the seasons. In fact this moisturizer seems like one which will perform well throughout the year.

The formula feels very comfortable on the skin because of its lightweight texture. It contains some great ingredients like Aloe vera, Green Tea and Caffiene!

Here is the entire list of ingredients (I have taken this list from Paula’s Choice)

Water, Cyclopentasiloxane, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Betula Alba (Birch) Bark Extract, Silybum Marianum (Lady’s Thistle) Extract, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Saccharomyces Lysate Extract, Sucrose, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Water, Trehalose, Hydroxyethyl Urea, Sorbitol, Oleth-10, Tromethamine, Caffeine, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Hydrolyzed Extensin, Sodium Hyaluronate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Palmitoyl Oligopeptide, Caprylyl Glycol, Dimethicone, Glyceryl Polymethacrylate, PEG-8, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer, Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Carbomer, Hexylene Glycol, Disodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Red 4 , Yellow 5

The two things that could have been better about this product are the packaging and the price point. The jar packaging isn’t the most hygienic and travel friendly. Using this moisturizer is also proving to be an expensive habit to keep. It currently costs Rs 3550 for 50ml of product! Phew!!
